Ego

Ego – the ultimate enemy of Life

Most of us are obsessed with the emotions attached with I, me, my and mine. All these emotions get reflected in our day to day aspirations and behaviors. No wonder, it is easy to note that aim of most of these aspirations is the same- individual growth. We associate ourselves with these growths as our own successes.

What these successes mean to our lives? Happiness? Liveliness? Perhaps! Perhaps Not! Confused!

We are full of aspirations. We want to have many feathers in our hats- money, property, name, fame, recognition and so on. Though some of these qualify for our needs, most of them fall in the category of wishes. As we all know, needs are finite but wishes are unlimited. While chasing the former is essential for our existence, the latter turns our lives in races. A race leading nowhere but to solitude. We isolate ourselves not only from our family, friends or relations but also from ourselves. Our souls suffers while we keep ourselves busy in trying to show off our worthiness as successful persons. We turn into complete losers and still try to make others believe us as winners. Our claims of victories are just hollow. We turn into kills of our own egos.
